This is a good article that explains why there cannot be a fixed start date for the month of Ramadan. There are Wahhabi/Salafi hypocrites who claim to be the authority in Islam but they are what I just said…. just hypocrites… Do not follow them. Ramadan starts with the “Sighting” of the moon with the naked eye.
This is a poem written about an amazingly beautiful girl called Katya from St.Petersburg, Russia. Working with her was not that easy, she doesn’t know English very well, so our communication was erratic. I didn’t ask her to sit with me and chat with me for a long time. I asked her to go around St.Petersburg and take selfies. She came back with some stunning pictures. They were not selfies. It was a professional photographer who took those pictures. I looked at one of those pictures and wrote this poem. Unfortunately, the photographer and Katya didn’t agree with me in using the picture with the poem. So I needed to use another picture.
On Another Note: Life is a journey that is intricately woven into the fabric of time and space. As we move forward, our actions and thoughts leave an imprint on the vast expanse of our existence. Sometimes, these imprints are pleasant and enriching, but other times they can be burdensome and overwhelming. However, as we navigate through the twists and turns of life, it is important to remember that we can always find sweetness even in the most challenging moments. Over the past year, many of us have experienced events that were unpleasant, difficult, and trying. From personal struggles to global crises, there were times when it felt like the weight of the world was bearing down on us. But despite these challenges, we persevered, we adapted, and we found ways to carry on. For those of us who have lived for several decades, such as myself, we know that this is not the first time we have faced adversity. We have experienced loss, heartbreak, and disappointment, and yet, we have learned to find sweetness in what was given from a burdened event. We have learned that even when life feels like a heavy weight pressing down on us, we can find joy and happiness if we choose to look for it. One way to find sweetness in difficult moments is to focus on the lessons that we can learn from them. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow and evolve, to become stronger and more resilient. When we face adversity, we can choose to let it defeat us, or we can use it as a catalyst for positive change. Another way to find sweetness in difficult moments is to connect with others. We all need support and encouragement, especially during challenging times. By reaching out to friends, family, or even strangers, we can find comfort, inspiration, and hope. In turn, we can also offer support and kindness to others who may be struggling. Ultimately, life is a journey that is filled with both joy and sorrow. The burdens of our actions and thoughts will bend space and time itself, but it is up to us to choose how we respond to those burdens. We can let them defeat us, or we can find sweetness even in the most challenging moments. By focusing on the lessons we can learn and by connecting with others, we can find joy, happiness, and meaning in our journey through life.
I found a model doing a live show online and during that time I saw something very unusual… As I looked at her, the girl was trying to get an earring out of her ear. It was stuck and she was in tremendous pain. I could see the tears in her eyes and the frustration on her face. This scene inspired me to write this poem.
On Another Note: Ramadan is almost here and it is with tremendous enthusiasm I am waiting to start the month of fasting, prayers, and meditation. I may go to Kansas and spend some time with my brother and sister-in-law. Their kids are all grown up one is working in Chicago and the other is in studying in Virginia. The cobblers of Facebook and me are at odds. First, my best friend’s business account got hacked, and even when I got the VP involved they couldn’t do shit to get that account restored. Second, I got my account restricted for no particular reason I can reasonably think of. Third, they block sharing links from LonelyPoet.Com on Facebook saying the link may not be secure. The stupidity is, I found a way around this by using apps on Facebook itself. How can I not call these cobblers profanity? Their system sucks and I hope that company goes bankrupt soon.
This man was a true revolutionary. He invented the famous back flip in the high jump which is now standard all around the globe. He will be remembered until the end of times. He passed away at the age of 76. May he rest in peace.
The work of a sculptor is hard in every way… especially when society is very strictly against any expression using human images. However, things are changing in Saudi Arabia. Read and watch this fascinating news.
Desperate Russians are spreading false news on Facebook and Twitter. They bought weapons from Iran, China, India, and North Korea and sent those weapons with inexperienced kids into Ukraine and got their asses whooped by patriotic Ukrainians. Here watch this about a claim by Russians that they destroyed a military base of Ukrainians… The truth? It is the other way around it was a Russian military base destroyed by the fantastic Ukrainian Army… Slava Ukraina.
Earlier today I woke up and thought I will trim the beard and took the trimmer and started trimming the beard and saw more hair falling down… I asked “What size attachment I am using” and looked … then I said “To be precise … not using any attachment at all” But I kept the mustache… now hope springtime will help me grow my beard back
It took approximately 15 minutes to write this poem. The idea came during the writing itself as after seeing the image in black and white I thought there is a story of this lady hidden deep in her heart. What she hides and what she shows wondered me. The poem was about finding ways to forgive those who abandoned the idea of a loving lover for the wilderness of this world but love is an emotion that will find ways on its own to reach the purity of a good lover.
On Another Note: Ramadan is almost here and I am cleaning up the mess inside the house. Most people around me are preparing for spring cleaning but spring as we know it is hiding somewhere no one really knows. These are times when as a human I should find ways to forgive and forget many things as I myself seek forgiveness for my mishaps. Life is easy when one thinks right and acts upon it, Life will become miserable when one acts bad and think about it.
A Must watch video for present-day folks to watch. In 1964, Arthur Clarke made a prediction about what the future would look like. He had listed down all the technological advancements that he thought would exist in the present day and what all things humanity would achieve down the road. However, his failure was in predicting how cruel humanity could become. Only religious prophets had made such predictions, and surprisingly, they all had come true. However, what Arthur Clarke failed to see was the dark side of humanity. He didn’t take into account how we would use technology to harm each other, how we would become more intolerant of each other’s beliefs, and how we would become less tolerant of each other’s differences. Religious prophets, on the other hand, had predicted all of this. They had warned us of the consequences of our actions, the impact of our decisions, and the importance of compassion and kindness towards each other. They had foreseen the rise of extremism and the increase in natural disasters, and all of it had come true. It’s important to recognize that we are capable of both good and bad, and it’s up to us to choose which path we want to take. We must use technology for the betterment of humanity, not for our own selfish gains. We must learn to respect each other’s beliefs, cultures, and differences and work towards building a more tolerant and peaceful world. In conclusion, Arthur Clarke from 1964 may have been right about some things, but he had failed to see the bigger picture. It’s essential to acknowledge the warnings of our religious prophets and work towards creating a better future for ourselves and the generations to come. Let’s strive towards a world where technology is used for good, and humanity is at the forefront of all our decision-making processes.
